In The News -

The fire season has arrived. We can smell smoke in the air and the news is full of wildfire stories. The drought and fire season is in our area and going strong. It is time to think about what happens if a wildfire should start near you. The key to saving your property is to ensure your property can defend itself against a wildfire. To do that you must treat the fuels around your structures and the ignitions zones (fuels) on your structures. A 20 minute fire department response time may be too late. To learn more about how to create a defensible space around your structures and receive a FREE report that could save you money on your homeowner’s insurance, contact the Park County Firewise Coordinator, Bernie Spanogle, at 307-250-9387 or email him at: pcfirewise@gmail.com.
